AX has announced the rollout of its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policy, demonstrating its long-term commitment to sustainable business practices.

The accident aftercare expert believes that business success is linked to responsible environmental attitudes, positive social impact and strong governance.

While AX has embedded ESG principles within its operations for several years, the business has now introduced a structured programme with clear targets and measurable commitments.

The expanded programme is designed to offer tangible benefits to its employees, suppliers, customers and drivers; it is built around three core pillars – Environment, Societal and Governance – to provide a balanced approach to sustainability.

From an environmental perspective, AX has committed to ambitious targets, including an 80% reduction in fleet emissions by 2030 and transitioning to 90% electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles by 2035.

AX is also targeting zero waste to landfill by 2030 by using partnerships focused on recycling and energy recovery. In addition, AX continues to lead innovation in the sector, including its EV-for-EV replacement guarantee and matching its fleet composition with the growth of electric vehicles in the UK car market.

Socially, AX is increasing its community engagement through new charity and volunteering initiatives, while also investing in future talent through education partnerships. Internally, the business is creating a supportive workplace, with commitments to improve diversity, increase representation in leadership and support employee wellbeing and development.

Governance is also a core part of the programme, with a focus on transparency, ethical practices and strong supplier standards. AX is actively working with its supply chain to encourage net zero commitments and improved emissions targets.

Nick Williams, Chief Executive Officer of AX, said: “A strong ESG framework is essential not only for the future of our planet but also for our customers, our people and our industry.

“By setting clear expectations for ourselves and our partners, we can deliver services that are responsible, transparent and resilient, ensuring that our customers can rely on us for decades to come.”
