UIL (Uninsured Loss) – What can I claim for?

You can, provided you are acting reasonably and are able to prove your loss with evidence, claim for any financial loss you incur directly due to the accident.

For example, you may claim for hiring a replacement vehicle, the repair to your vehicle, personal injury, loss of earnings, medical expenses, damage to property etc.

What do I need to provide?

Any losses need to be evidenced in full by way of receipts and photographs of any damaged items. Please email settlementclaims@ax-uk.com with your claim reference if you are unsure what to provide and we can look to advise you further. 

When will I be reimbursed for my losses?

Once your claim has been billed to the third party insurers and after the hire vehicle has been returned, our settlement department will be working on settling the claim including your uninsured losses - providing you have given us all of the required information.

If we do need any further details in relation to your losses we will contact you. We cannot provide timescales for losses but we will regularly chase them up with the third party insurers. We cannot guarantee recovery of any losses as these are to be paid in accordance with the third party insurer's decision.
